Artist Bio
Scout Saadeh is a Portland-based sculptor, ceramics class instructor, and founder of Party Boy Provisions. Working primarily with ceramics, Scout uses various techniques including slip casting, wheel throwing, and hand building. She imagines drug-infused snacks in a near future when all drugs are decriminalized in her latest collection of ceramic sculpture grocery products. Scout’s work explores drug legalization and the intersection between the human condition and drug use while referencing childhood 90s nostalgia. Scout uses her art to comment on the current state of drug criminalization and its adverse effects while envisioning an equitable near future without the adverse consequences of the war on drugs.
